“I have found the the Values Exchange tool to be a very useful for reflecting on ethical situations. It provides a framework to prompt you to think about your values in real life practical scenarios. I have included using this tool as a part of my professional development – i.e. understanding my values and reflecting on how these impact on my interactions with clients. The site is really easy to use, and there is a video guide if you get stuck. You need to register, but once you have you can begin reflecting on cases. You can also look at others comments and reflections.” Jess Shepherd, NZROT (HONS) Graduate of 2009 |
“Values are at least as important as evidence in human affairs. People do not love, or share, or go to war primarily on the basis of evidence. Whenever anything matters to us we act first because of our values...." - Professor David Seedhouse”
