Welcome to the home page of ‘Wheelchairs and Seating ’ SIG which is part of NZAOT. Members of NZAOT with an interest in the aims and key activities of the group are invited to join.

NZAOT encourages the sharing of information, expertise and skills by providing a national resource and networking system for its members.

If you are a member of NZAOT and would like to join this SIG please contract the National Office.

Objectives

  • To provide a network throughout New Zealand of occupational therapists with a special interest in issues relating to wheelchairs and seating
  • To facilitate the sharing and distribution of ideas and resources within the group
  • To be an identifiable resource for NZAOT Council and Executive Director for issues pertaining to wheelchairs and seating
  • To provide a forum to discuss occupational therapy issues in the area of wheelchairs and seating. Where concerns, which affect the profession locally, regionally and nationally, can be discussed
  • To provide the opportunity to facilitate consistency on policies procedures and issues nationally.
