Driving & Passenger Rehabilitation Special Interest Group
Welcome to the homepage of the Driving SIG which is a part of NZAOT. Members of NZAOT who have an interest in the aims and key activities of the group are invited to join.
The group supports and promotes occupational therapists who provide driving assessment and rehabilitation. NZAOT encourages the sharing of information, expertise and skills by providing a national resource and networking system for its members.
Objectives
- To provide a network throughout New Zealand of occupational therapists with a special interest in driving
- To facilitate the sharing and distribution of ideas and resources within the group
- To be an identifiable resource for NZAOT Council and Executive Director for issues pertaining to driving
- To provide a forum to discuss occupational therapy issues in the area of driving where concerns, which affect the profession locally, regionally and nationally, can be discussed
- To provide the opportunity to facilitate consistency on policies, procedures and issues nationally
