This is a large geographical area which includes the greater Auckland area including North Shore, Waitakere, Waitemata, Manukau and outlying areas.

Please join us on the third Wednesday of every month

Time: 5.30 - 6:30 socializing (pizza and beverages available); 6.30pm formal business. If you are planning on attending the social part of the meeting and would like pizza ($8.00 incl. drinks), please RSVP by the monday prior to the meeting to yasmin@orton.com

Our plan for the 2008 meetings (subject to change) is:

Mar 19 - Occupational Therapy web resources, with emphasis on NZAOT resources and book display. Come and see the latest publications.

Apr 16 - Member of Parliament to come and discuss health policy and answer questions from members. Will be collecting local members questions via email prior to this meeting.

May 21 - History of occupational therapy in New Zealand.

Jun 18 - Culturally safe practices with families.

Jul 16 - OT's and Primary Health.

Aug 20 - Starting a business.

Sept 17 - Core competencies, how to do them and write them up.

Oct 15 - Feedback from NZAOT conference (held this year 4,5,6 Sept in Palmerston North).

Nov - Date/venue to be confirmed closer to date - holiday special

 

All members welcome. New grads, students, potential members - you can attend twice before joining NZAOT. All welcome.
