Key Strategic Stakeholders

The Occupational Therapy Key Strategic Stakeholders (OTKSS) comprises representatives from:

- the New Zealand Association of Occupational Therapists (NZAOT)

- the Department of Occupational Science and Therapy, Auckland University of Technology

- the School of Occupational Therapy, Otago Polytechnic, and

- the Occupational Therapy Board of New Zealand (OTBNZ)

The Occupational Therapy Key Strategic Stakeholders group meets at least twice a year for the purposes of:

  • Sharing information, experience and possible resources
  • Facilitating the development of complementary and consistent strategies to:
2.1   Promote the profession and its practise
2.2   Ensure the maintenance of professional standards for the public good
2.3   Promote research and the education of occupational therapists
  • Considering and promoting ways in which to integrate the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi and cultural competence into occupational therapy within Aotearoa/New Zealand.
  • Speaking with one voice on matters of mutual interest.
